Glock 26 Vs P365 - The G26 was my first carry pistol. The second gun I bought was the beginning of my love affair with Glock. Fast forward through four jobs, including making a big gun shop, this is still one of my favorite hands. I have more rounds in that handgun than any manual I own, but the Sig P365 may be the gun that changes things.

Sig returns to the SHOT Show 2018 with the release of the P365. The machine is amazing with its small size and 10 round magazine. The gun people asked for. The trigger seems to work well, and even if it's a bit pricey, it's worth something from Sig Sauer. Fast forward a few months and I was surprised, but plagued by problems. I always wanted to shoot one but I really didn't.

Glock 26 Vs Glock 43

When Sig Sauer gave me a test gun I jumped at it. I was really looking forward to scratching that itch and thought Sig made a gun that made me want to sleep. When I got the P365 I pulled the trigger to dry fire and thought something was wrong. I checked again and it looked like a toy gun! I just thought, "Well, I thought it was just a story." I made a mistake. Now, to be clear, I might have thought differently if I hadn't been able to shoot this at the range. The trigger is pretty funny in dry fire conditions, but at the range this little gun is a dream. This brings me to the question of whether or not I can replace my G26.

While many people compare the P365 to the G43, I think it's better than the G26. They are the same round number, almost the same size and the same weight. The Sig is very thin, and the .25 pound minimum load really gives it an edge in the concealed carry department. P365 is very cheap. This is the first gun in this class that I really like the rose extension on the magazine.

Knowing how to shoot, the Sig outclasses them all. It ran open signals, copper, iron, subsonics without hiccups. In fact, I had trouble with first strikes from my G26 (which is unusual) and not a single problem from the Sig last time I shot. The Sig Sauer P365 has a good point and a good shot, and the reason for the trigger is lost during fire. I wish I could explain how or why it's different, but I can't. During a firefight, I know the P365 is a lot of fun to shoot, especially for a gun this size.

Although the P365 has a smaller viewing radius than the 26, the included night sights are easy to get and very accurate. We made throws on C-Zone targets at 20-25 yards. Night vision shines well in low light areas. It's definitely a step up from the stock plastic sights on the G26 (I upgraded to Ameriglo fiber sights).

I carried the Sig daily for about 3 months, and when it was offered to me as a demo gun, I bought it. It probably won't replace my G26 and problems with modifying Glocks. My G26 takes all magazines from my large frame Glocks and all holsters work. This is very important to me. However, if someone asked me the P365 vs the G26 as the first concealed carry gun, I would have a hard time taking it.

Glock 26 Vs P365

There are two things about the cigar that I don't like. The first is the price. Sig is priced competitively with the new Glock 26 at an MSRP of just under $600, but you can get a used G26 for less. This will end with time, but now the sig is more expensive. This brings me to my second issue, available magazines. Sig magazines are expensive at around $43. I can buy two and four mags for my watch for that price, what I get and they work with my G19. Difficult to use the range if you don't have spare mags or if you want to have a class with a sig.

I think Sig did a fantastic job with this gun, and while I'm not sold on many of their handguns, it is very light for concealed carry. The comparison of the conversion and the Glock line is still a strong consideration, but for anyone considering something like the Shield or G43, I'd say you owe it to yourself to try it. Space for P365.
